1. WHO (Pour les personnes)
On utilise Who pour parler d’un être humain.
- I know a man. He speaks six languages.
- I know a man who speaks six languages.
2. WHICH (Pour les objets et animaux)
On utilise Which pour tout ce qui n’est pas humain.
- This is the book. I bought it yesterday.
- This is the book which I bought yesterday.
3. THAT (Polyvalent)
That peut remplacer Who ou Which dans la plupart des cas à l’oral.
- A person that works here.
- A car that is fast.
4. WHERE (Pour les lieux)
On utilise Where pour désigner un endroit.
- This is the restaurant. We met there.
- This is the restaurant where we met.
